Publication standards
Evidence before heat.
enshit.club is an evidence-led publication. We distinguish what a source establishes from our analysis of why it matters to people who use, own or pay for a product.
Evidence labels
Case files and service records use the most precise label the available record supports. Labels describe the state of the evidence, not a company's moral character or a product score.
- Allegation
- A claim attributed to a named person, organisation or published report. It is not presented as an established fact.
- Investigation
- A regulator, court, journalist or other named body is examining a matter. An investigation is not a finding.
- Court order
- A court has made an order. We describe the order and its source; it does not automatically settle every broader claim about a company or product.
- Settlement
- A dispute has been resolved by agreement, undertaking or settlement. We state the terms supported by the record and do not treat it as an admission unless the source says so.
- Historical
- A documented event whose immediate service, product or policy is no longer current. It remains in the record when it helps explain a pattern or affected ownership.
How we review
A case file must name its sources, describe the practical user impact and separate fact from commentary. We prefer primary material: regulator records, court documents, published terms and company notices. Strong reporting may provide context, but it is attributed.
Service-ledger records are reviewed when their linked case changes and at least once a year. A record shows its last review date. We update, relabel or remove a record when its evidence no longer supports the summary.
Corrections
Send a correction, primary document, receipt or relevant decision to [email protected]. Please include the affected URL and enough detail to check the claim.
We assess supported reports as soon as practical. If an error is material, we correct the page and add a dated correction note. If new evidence changes the status or conclusion, we update the case file and any linked ledger record. We may clarify non-material wording without a correction note.
Editorial independence
We do not accept paid placements, sponsored coverage or affiliate commissions. We do not publish invented customer stories or treat unverified social posts as evidence. About explains the publication's scope and limits; the service ledger is an evidence index, not a recommendation engine.
